Snarky 🇳🇴, living it up in Südhessen 🇩🇪 with her 🇮🇪🇬🇧 partner & 😺😸. Have also lived in 🇬🇧& 🇿🇦. Hobbies are beading, music, and 📸. Fluent in English, Denglisch & sarcasm. Other languages are available, but fluency is not guaranteed (yes, even the 🇳🇴 is wobbly!).
Agree! We're visiting Celle and Lüneburg up in Niedersachsen this year, so two new markets for us to experience. And of course, we'll go to our fave, Frankfurt Weihnachtsmarkt in the Römerberg, as it has a special nostalgia for us both. 🤗🎄❤️

Yes, it's horrifying. I didn't have the best teen years growing up, but listening to this, my life was a picnic by comparison! 😱😕

Many of us have never complained, because we quite living in functional social-democratic societies, and we don't have to worry about going bankrupt to afford medical care. What we have isn't perfect, but it's a darned sight better than extortionate charges and extortionate co-pays! 😬

Sorry, is this the same Nancy Mace who ran out sobbing after hearing gruelling testimonies from Epstein/Maxwell survivors?

The same Epstein & Maxwell that Trump is up to his ears in dodgy dealings with. We've all seen the photos, heard the vile thoughts he's expressed.

How quickly she forgets...

So, given Partition happened after WWII, I'm sure all the Indians and Pakistani families who lost relatives who fought in the British Indian Army will be thrilled to hear how much Fox values the services of their ancestors. He's a fucking ghoul, isn't he. He's only "somebody" thanks to his heritage.

I think it's sad how much it has been monetised and almost glamourised, but I will admit to buying a enamel pin once, which worked better on my work clothes. While I opted to wear that instead, I still donated to any local collection, and took a paper poppy if the seller insisted.

I love all the BER months, for pretty much all those reasons! The colours of the leaves before they fall, the darker nights so we can snuggle down with twinkling lights/tea lights (take your pick), read books, watch telly. Lighter nights make me feel like I have to be out and about doing stuff!

I suppose I should be grateful that at least they work Saturdays, so the work can be completed sooner - it's part of a larger project in the Dorf to replace street lights, etc. The local "alleyway" which connects all the streets to the local park has been closed for ages, but also slowly reopening.

Oh, she's much more settled now, Jane... she's such a cutie, and has an adorable personality. We're all okay, had a bit of an upheaval recently, but we're alive and kicking, and Miss Claws still rules the feeding time roost! 😹😹

When you learn a language on your mother's knee, it's your "normal", and you speak it without thinking. Foreigners need to translate from their language to English, until it becomes their normal, too. It's said when you start dreaming in a foreign language, that you've cracked it. Who knows? 😬🤔

To be fair, I learned it in school, so probably not as hard as it would perhaps be for an adult.

I trained to be a TEFL teacher, which is where I learned about the difficulties adult learners face. Sentence structure, words that sound the same, but have different meanings, grammar rules, etc.

You wanna try learning English as a foreigner! 🤪😆😂

Six months definitely isn't enough time to learn a language, especially if you're isolating yourself! We moved to Germany in Dec 2020, and I'm much more fluent than my partner because I work outside of our home, while his language growth stalled as he was working from home, speaking English. 🫣😬

Oh blimey, I bet that was a shock! 😆😂 My brain went Kon-Tiki raft, initially, but given that was 1947 and Thor Heyerdahl is not a relative, I knew it was probably a blip! 😂😂

Aaawww, I love the kitty pouffes! 😻😻 Two fluffy pedestals for their majestic Purrinesses!

This exhibits in real time the total lack of empathy or concern for someone else other than himself... an excellent photo!

I should have said "as more people get tested" rather than "the more people get tested", given it usually only happens once! 🫣🙄
