Fun fact, Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu Linux once ran a campaign to fix minor annoyances in their OS. They called it "100 Papercuts", which resonates here.

The more I use my Steamdeck, the more I love the entire idea. A handheld gaming console that's secretly a computer that has a functional OS already instealled and you can pretty seamlessly swap to. It's truly wonderful, unlike the gimmickry of installing Linux on gaming consoles of the past.

🦨the steam deck has been nice and we appreciate people giving us money for it, but the amount of issues we've had with it just using it normally really show that it'll never be more than an enthusiast device. the year of the linux desktop isn't here yet

The only reason MS continues to make money is large corps with huge MS-based technical debt. No startup, ever, would choose a Microsoft stack.
