Sports fan, part-time improviser, former employee of the “Worldwide Leader.” Allow me to talk to you about all things Michigan and the Chicago Cubs while throwing random one-liners from The Simpsons…eventually. I just got here.
Are you a reporter or a Michigan apologist? I’m a Michigan fan, and I don’t give a flying fuck what his story is.

Then she needs to read the room. I appreciate that she in some respects was set up to fail because Biden didn’t know when to step aside and she didn’t get a full ramp up to her campaign. But she also ran against a very unpopular candidate and lost pretty decisively. So no thanks.

This has “first annual Montgomery Burns award for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence” vibes all over it.

I feel like the perception of ESPN has been trending on a line straight downward for the past 15 years. And it’s complicated. Because the things they do well, they do well. The things they don’t do well are unwatchable.

Definitely one of the best ballgames of all day.

Nope! Game over.

Are you sure we’re talking about the Democratic Party here? The utter sticklers for the rules and procedures. They’d just nuke the filibuster? I wish they were that awesome. Maybe then they would have an actual majority.

Which I’m sure will leave Chuck Schumer with no other option but to ask nicely for the Epstein files again.

I host bar trivia. One of our occasional categories is called “fun with flags.” There’s a reason I’m very deliberate when it comes to saying the category name.

But look, this isn’t Thom Brennanan 2.0. It was a Freudian slip. A cringy one, but still there’s no malicious intent here.

The only thing that would be a positive is not having the travel double off day between Games 4 and 5, 5 and 6, and 6 and 7.

In fairness, the guy the Colts drafted was Trev Alberts. And as mediocre as Dilfer turned out, Alberts was worse.

You mean to tell me that the guy who thought Jimmy Clausen was gonna be a franchise quarterback is going to criticize the NFL’s decision making at QB and call them clueless? For a guy who’s made a lot of money being a “draft expert,” he’s really mad about never becoming an NFL GM.

It wasn’t great. But I don’t even think it was the worst WrestleMania main event in Las Vegas ever.

Two of them by someone who is decidedly not one of the best athletes in the world.

Yeah they haven’t forgotten what he said about Puerto Rico.

Hard pass on elevating Newsom, who declared Abrego Garcia “the distraction of the day.”

It’s not a Ray Hudson broadcast if he doesn’t use the word “magisterial.”

This isn’t even the first time this has happened recently. University of Hartford reclassified from Division I to Division III literally right after they won the America East and made the NCAA Tournament a few years ago.

None of what you said is true. And no, I’m not “used to it” and never will. You wanna watch college basketball until 2am, be my fucking guest. I don’t want to watch the tournament at midnight on a Sunday night when I have to work tomorrow for the 4th night in a row. And I shouldn’t have to choose.
March 24, 2025 at 12:12 AM
It very much matters when it ends. They do measure ratings by the quarter hour, and if there is a drop in the ratings after 11 o’clock eastern, advertisers aren’t exactly thrilled by that.

Also, last year’s 9:40 Sunday game was Grand Canyon vs Alabama. You know, from the “west coast.”
March 23, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Yeah it doesn’t end in prime time. The last game ends at midnight or later.
March 23, 2025 at 11:03 PM
The first couple of days I have less of an issue with it. On Sunday, though, when east coast viewers have work on Monday morning, why do we have games tipping off at 8:40 and 9:40 eastern? That’s the only thing about the old TV deal I miss. It was over on Sunday in time for 60 Minutes at 7 pm.
