Thomas has used that language regularly, most specifically he used it in his Dobbs concurrence. "At least three dangers" mashed him sound like a troll at a crossroads which, well,...

Also, even with this argument, the idea that you got *less than nothing* is still an embarrassment. "We were guaranteed a concept of a vote" actually makes them look weaker than getting nothing. If you're the adult in the room you take responsibility that the negotiation failed!

Note that my own version of this statement requires tying this to what's going on in the actual world, something King and the others are not doing. Republican intransigence has to be tied to the whole swath of their policies for this argument to have any credibility whatsoever

It would be a "we had to be the adults in the room" argument, right? "Children are going hungry, workers are going without pay, Americans are being snatched off the streets and Republicans do not care. We will continue to fight for healthcare got Americans, but we cannot ask them to suffer more."

It is quite something that the emerging interpretation of her actions here hinges on KBJ believing that *at least* five of her colleagues would let one in eight Americans starve, and that her order is a defensive move against those five (or six!). Jesus wept.

For those who understandably don't want to click through, this is the one. It is difficult to capture how stylishly inert it is.

I guess it's good they think women can work construction. Fascinating how that hat sits on her head.

They shot early in the morning without making it look so. Can't find a not thorough reference on that right now but here's one that mentions it (along with a bunch of other fun stuff)
