I’m at the point where the multifocals don’t give very good distance vision or close vision so it’s definitely back to distance contact lenses plus readers for me. Go with what you feel would be best - you’re the one who has to live with it after all.

Going to go back to distance lenses and reading glasses, even if it does make me feel like I’m turning in to my mother 🤓
