absolutely, the vast majority of the people opposing it are pro-assisted dying in principle but it very much isn't a good idea right now within the context of a government that clearly just wants to kill off people too sick to work

they voted down the safeguard to prevent people seeking euthanasia for financial hardship....while taking thousands of pounds away from disabled people. you see how they're nudging disabled people towards assisted death while removing their ability to live in comfort and dignity?

if it were true that it was definitely going to be only available to terminally ill people with less than a year to live then everyone would be in favour of it; it's because the government has voted down EVERY safeguard while slashing disability benefits that they're not. context matters
