An oddity in Douglas Sirk's oeuvre. Fairly entertaining, but there's little of the flamboyance and embrace of artificiality you find in Sirk's best work. More than anything the film resembles the pilot episode of a MONK-like detective show where Colbert's nun solves a new mystery every week.
