Together Against Sizewell C (TASC) campaigns to rigorously oppose the construction of Sizewell C's two EPR nuclear reactors in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB National Landscape
#Labour ministers need to meet locals & walk the vulnerable fast retreating coastline from Thorpeness to the Sizewell C site to understand the immoral environmental & financial burden they are placing on future generations to keep the plant & its 4,000 tonnes of spent fuel safe till the late 2100s

.@NFLAUKandI re #Wylfa The £2.5bn "would be better spent on insulating Welsh homes to make them warmer & cheaper to run or used to develop more capacity in renewable technologies that can generate electricity cheaper & far quicker..."

Prof Steve Thomas: "We appear now to be facing serious risks from climate change, and there will not be a second chance if we fail to tackle it because too many resources are being consumed by an option—new nuclear—that will not work."

Totally agree. Also, @RachelReevesMP has risked £14bn+ of public funds on Sizewell C - the same flawed EDF EPR design as Hinkley Point C, choosing to prop up the ailing French nuclear industry & big business over 'working people' & the rest of the UK population!

...Sizewell C’s recent admission that they may need to recharge the beach before the plant has even been built, has only heightened our concerns.

#EnoughIsEnough Fantastic to see over 400 people united against the cumulative impact from the onslaught of energy projects with Sizewell C & onshore EA1N/EA2 already devastating vast swathes of the East Suffolk countryside, much in the AONB. Yet more planned!

Suffolk Coastal, a jewel in the crown with its beautiful landscapes & great biodiversity interests, but now consigned to major industrialisation from the horrific onslaught of numerous energy projects illustrated in the map below- includes ESW's proposal for Sizewell C's water

Join us midday Nov 5th, Snape Maltings - for #CumulativeImpact protest re #EastSuffolk #Energy projects. A good example as same day as #Sealink Open Floor Hearings, #SizewellC N Transport Forum & E&S Water consultation on new reservoirs/pipelines (including for SZC)

.@NFLAUKandI "The sheer cost of decommissioning & the disposal of nuclear waste, which invariably falls upon the taxpayer, should lead any minister employing a modicum of common sense to preclude the construction of any more nuclear plants."

Please join us midday on 5th November at Snape Maltings to show a united front against the relentless infrastructure burden being inflicted on East Suffolk's coast & countryside, much in the AONB National Landscape

How about a #Labour Nuclear Minister 'visits' East Suffolk to walk the rapidly eroding coastline with locals to understand their grave concerns about the risks of Sizewell C & its spent fuel being sited in such a vulnerable location at risk from #climatechange impacts till 2160+!

#Starmer et al call locals #nimbys & #blockers yet fail to visit to see the vulnerability of the coast. Recent erosion has left the ever advancing sea just a few metres from Sizewell C’s site leading to a likely recharge of part of the beach now!

More heartbreak for Thorpeness residents as another home has to be demolished due to 13m of cliff being lost to the sea since Dec24 Yet govt risks £bns on nearby Sizewell C even though part of the beach in front of the site may soon need to be recharged - before the plant have even been built!

"The challenges we face now are low carbon, energy security, and affordability. And for the avoidance of doubt, if anybody thinks Nuclear Power can put a tick into any of these three boxes, you really need to do your homework"

"should we really be trying to expand high-cost skill-intense nuclear power? Even if the Labour government says it is needed to support its military twin, the bomb, and its delivery technology - or is the other way around?"

"It is of vital importance that the Govt grasp the urgency of the work taking place at Sellafield & shed any sense of a far-off date of completion for which no-one currently living is responsible" Yet #Labour commits £bns to create more waste at Sizewell C!

On X today Shows the vulnerability of the Sizewell nuclear sites
We're already burdening future generations with the impacts of climate change- it's immoral to also dump on them, the responsibility for protecting Sizewell C & its 4,000 tonnes of spent nuclear fuel from flooding for the next 150+yrs
October 9, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Bordering @RSPBMinsmere, Sizewell C is busy destroying the tranquillity & scenic beauty of Suffolk's supposedly protected National Landscape- noise level recorded on apple watch at 90+ decibels. No wonder the UK is one of the world's most nature depleted nations!

No surprise - the North Sea continues to erode the coast in front of the Sizewell C site & now appears to be less than 20 metres from the site boundary where the temporary sea defences are being constructed. Sizewell C - a #climatechange casualty, not a solution

Excellent words from Mandy Beaumont at the Middleton Oaks protest- "None of us can bear to see the environmental devastation we are witnessing all around us here - all in the name of progress by Sizewell C’s government-backed machinery that appears to be pre-programmed with a “scorched earth policy”
October 3, 2025 at 5:24 PM
A wonderful turnout to celebrate saving these 8 precious oaks from the Sizewell C chainsaws. Huge thanks to Mandy Beaumont who ran such a successful campaign on behalf of the surrounding villages to stop the needless destruction of such valuable wildlife habitat by Sizewell C

...Also vast areas of East Suffolk's countryside are being devastated for building the roads, roundabouts, rail, car parks etc to enable Sizewell C to be constructed and operated, effectively industrialising this precious rural landscape.

Daily Mail letters: Dr Lowry, "Britain Remade's proposals to cut nuclear safety regulations is both dangerous & unjustified"
TASC, "Sizewell C Ltd...advised Parliament in Jan 2025 that, "Sizewell C is on time & on budget...”, totally contradicting Britain Remade’s claims"

No 'change' here- #Labour's 'golden age of nuclear' at Hartlepool is likely to rip off UK consumers & taxpayers, as is happening with Sizewell C. "UK consumers will have provided assistance to develop a US reactor design that it can sell elsewhere" Do read👇
