How about a photo from the year my pie crust sorta melted?
An apple pie on a baking sheet. While the pie had a typical fluted edge when it went into the oven, the dough melted during baking and is now draped down to the point where it touches the baking sheet around the entire circumference of the dish. It looks like a large, golden-brown hockey puck. Still tasted delicious, thankfully.

His wife, Mandy, wasn't surprised when he started to go on patrols; Grambo seems to have a penchant for good trouble. "It's just part of who he is," she said. If her work in corporate benefits for an international company allows it, she joins him by car so they can cover more ground and report back to each other. "When he runs out the door sometimes, I'll say 'I have a meeting in 30 minutes and won't be able to bail you out right away," she said half-jokingly. "I was with him probably for the last 15 years of his military career, and it has been scarier to watch him go out the door with some of the things going on now than it was seeing him off to go to deployment." She has managed to convince him to wear a helmet, which he does begrudgingly.

Spotted this beauty of a barred owl on my drive to work this morning—the first time I’ve (knowingly) seen one in the wild! 🪶

Seven years ago the rim of my crust from scratch melted to the point where it was level with the bottom of the pie plate.

A neighbor was kind enough to text this morning and let me know there were two bald eagles perched in the dead tree across the street from my apartment building. More pics at my Instagram page. 🪶
