Definitely a theme. We use this in our teaching to explore where the students are starting from, where they want to go, and what makes us stay/leave a job.

The Welfare Bill was discussed at length in Parliament yesterday, and the government has said that they will make a number of concessions. That is very welcome, and we all understand that there need to be changes to the welfare system. The government has committed to adopting the follow measures: Abandoning the planned cuts to PIP and tightening of the eligibility criteria. This means the government’s planned cuts to disability benefits has gone from £5bn to £0. Launching the first ever comprehensive review of the PIP assessment in over a decade will be published today. The review - led by Minister for Social Security and Disability Sir Stephen Timms - will ensure the system is fair, supportive and reflects the realities of modern life. This will be co-produced with disability groups and conclude in Autumn 2026. Nearly 4 million households will receive an income boost with the main rate of UC set to increase above inflation every year for the next four years - estimated to be worth £725 by 2029/30 for a single household aged 25 or over. All existing recipients of the UC health element and new customers with 12 months or less to live or who meet the Severe Conditions Criteria will see their standard allowance combined with their Limited Capability for Work Related Activity (LCWRA) rise at least in line with inflation every year from 2026/27 to 2029/30 200,000 individuals in the Severe Conditions Criteria group - individuals with the most severe, lifelong conditions who are unlikely to recover - will not be called for a UC reassessment Increasing total employment support by £2.2 billion over four years - upholding our commitment to spend £1 billion per year by the end of the decade. Legislating for the right to try work so that people can try work safe in the knowledge that trying work will not, in and of itself, lead to a reassessment or award review, breaking down barriers to employment. I voted against it yesterday evening.

#Obsidian I have installed pandoc and the enhancing export plugin to export to word. Trying to export to word, from a page with multiple embedded pages on it, I get this error. It work just fine without the embedded pages, so I'm guessing it can't parse those but any ideas?
A huge error page that mostly is "could not fetch resource "name and path of file", replacing image with description" over and over again

The thing I love most about my research is the honour and trust extended to me by the people I spoke about whose families had been part of unethical research.

That is a huge level of trust and many expressed hope that I could take their stories to people who care for them #ResearchAdvent

Government ban on puberty suppressing hormones made indefinite The Government has announced that the existing emergency measures banning the sale and supply of puberty suppressing hormones for the treatment of gender dysphoria or incongruence in under-18s have been made indefinite. A letter outlining updated information for primary care can be found here. NHS patients who are already receiving these medicines for gender dysphoria or incongruence can continue to access them, as can patients receiving the medicines for other uses. For children and young people whose access to puberty suppressing hormones have been discontinued (for example, prescriptions from non-UK prescribers) and are not on the waiting list of children’s gender services, NHS England will offer a targeted support from local NHS mental health services in England. Children, young people and their families can access this service, which is being coordinated through NHS Arden and GEM Commissioning Support Unit, by contacting agem.cyp-gnrss@nhs.net or calling 03001316775 and selecting option 3. Report on Innovation for Healthcare Inequalities Programme (InHIP) published NHS England’s Innovation for Healthcare Inequalities Programme (InHIP) has supported local teams across the country to tackle healthcare inequalities. This was achieved through improving patient access to proven innovations in underserved populations across the Core20PLUS5 clinical areas of priority. Read the report on the programme, which reached more than 34,000 individuals, reducing healthcare inequalities at scale.

I started out thinking it was pure #exo-autoethnography but discovered my own experiences with the trauma of #InfectedBloodScandal on route. This is a graphic I made to try and demonstrate it.
