God’s love is not impotent. God’s love is powerful to transform. This requires no counterbalance.

God does not lead with love and follow up with violence or dominance or control when we don’t get the point. God IS love (1 John) — anything less is counterfeit.

Saruman believes that it is only great power that can hold evil in check. But that is not what I have found. I've found it is the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keeps the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness and love.
