The relative market cap in the top two stablecoins, Tether (USDT) and the Coinbase backed USDC, has been narrowing. USDC should surpass Solana soon and I think will approach 150B by late 2026. What does this all mean?

We need to remember that the U of M has affiliated faculty at the VA, HCMC, and Regions involved in the education of their medical students too. We love having their students on our services and that will never change. I hope UMP and the University board can find common ground and deescalate this.

The three way relationship between Fairview, UMP, and the U of M has never been ideal. But threatening their physician practice of finding an alternative faculty to teach their med students is something I never would have expected.

Star Tribune is reporting that the University Board of Regents have “criticized university doctors” and may now “consider whether to change how UMP is structured and whether to renew its status as the official doctors group of the medical school”.

I thought the very public dissolution of the Hennepin Healthcare board was surprising. This public fight between Fairview, UMP, and the University of Minnesota is insane.

If you wonder why people are fed up with the traditional banking model, here’s yet another example. Let’s lock up money in a CD and only get 3.35% APY. Oh and by the way, if you don’t use direct deposit, we’ll charge you $25 a month as a maintenance fee.

The war against DEI often forgets the importance of “equity” and “inclusion”, which is paramount to people with physical disabilities, visual and hearing impairment, and/or economic disadvantages. These programs should be renamed, continued, and amplified in the workplace.

Nephrologists need to be more involved in the day to day management of our hospitalized dialysis patients. There is far too much autopilot dialysis ordering while not paying attention to drug dosing and transitions in care.

Can anyone smarter than me explain why ceftazidime 1 gm after dialysis is an appropriate dose when the usual daily dosing in HD is 1 gm Q24? At least give 2 gm over the long weekend. We use 2 gm after each dialysis as standard dosing in my institution.

Service mode is so useful. The car threw a fault code as the 12V voltage dropped transiently today. I was able to do a basic 12V diagnostic myself without taking the car to service.

We are on track to at least match our solar production in 2023, and may exceed it if we get some sun and avoid any more snow. Having $1200 worth of electrons produced passively on your roof for 30+ years is incredible.
