Am I imagining things or is there a rise in only fan follows in this space?

I mean, you do you, but if you’re following me in hopes of me following you on only fans, you’re wasting your time.

On CBC last night, I spelt out the moral case to keep on trying, however hard it might be. Defending the living planet is not an option we can abandon. Ultimately, it is all that counts.

I just realized that BlueSky has, in many ways, set themselves up like RedNote. Well played @bsky.app, well played 😂

And this, in a nutshell, is why I am moving away from Meta spaces. The willingness to change corporate values so drastically for profit is mind boggling.

When the cross stitch project is so big that you’re willing to invest the time to grid the entire thing 😉

This might just be a series: Meditations with Maine Coon.

We have a ritual - mornings are for meditations and the cat is here to support my mental wellbeing efforts.

Meditating to purrs 😻

Finished another fantasy-fiction read this year. It might be the most original book I’ve read!

Book review for Someone You Can Build A Nest In.

Getting ready for my morning meditation and my cat wellness overlord decides that snuggles must be had.

Who am I to argue?

Just finished reading The Bell Witches by Lindsey Kelk. It was a fun YA read to start the year. Reviewed it on Fable (it forces me to rate it 😢)

I’m slowly prepping myself to move away from Goodreads to Fable; Meta to BlueSky in 2025.

Learning new social media languages and communities is daunting but I want my online spaces to honour my values 💕

A good friend told me that she no longer “rates” her books in book reviews and I think I’m going to steal her idea. For 2025 I’m only to going to share impressions, reactions and takeaways of the books I read. No more feeding a hierarchical meritocracy. #BookSky #OccultivatedBooks #WitchBooks

Feeling spicy 🌶️

When something is repeated often enough, does it become a fact?

Asking for a friend 😉

But seriously, tell me about the pseudo facts that you see in the pagan-o-sphere that seem to be universally accepted nowadays.

I’ll go first: the Oak & Holly Kings

Is getting paid to curse the MAGA team really a thing?

How do we feel about that? 🤔

Do students even proofread their chatGPT essays? Like - do they at least learn what “they” wrote about? Cause experience is implying that they don’t!

In my day job I work in sustainability education: my latest project is on #greenwashing. The latest @theguardian.com piece is the perfect example of greenwashing at its best (aka worst).

Whenever I teach students about greenwashing they are both angry & depressed - so I teach them write letters.

Looking to make my feed diverse. Do you have BIPOC and LGBTQI+ accounts you’d recommend?

Witches, book lovers, crafty folks, herbalists, etc?

I already see how my “discover” page tends to actively center people I follow which creates an echo chamber.

My nightstand #TBR pile.

Lately I’ve not been in the mood to read anything heavy - so fun pulp fiction it is.

Anyone read any of these? One you’d recommend over others?

Simple way to clear negative energies in my home? Cleaning house. Letting fresh air in. If need be, moving some furniture.

It amazes me how some of the simplest acts are overlooked for social media trends.

I’m not a cinnamon witch - I get down and scrub the floors folks!

Will the coming years be safe for people to be open about their witchy practices? I wonder…
