Like I've never had to do age verification for a website before, so obviously I'm not in that database. Even so, I don't WANT my email stored in that database.
Also let's get out with this "makes the internet safer" bullshit. Harvesting more data doesn't do that.

Now I gotta backup all my program presets and I don't know if my OEM key will still work, I might have to buy another. ("Contact the manufacturer" I AM THE MANUFACTURER)
At that point, I'm looking over the Linux fence like IT SURE LOOKS GREEN OVER THERE

I tried updating my desktop to 11 last night and APPARENTLY it needs "safe boot" enabled.
Problem: to turn it on, I have to disable CSM, which causes the PC not to boot because Windows used a legacy format when making the partition.
Basically I gotta wipe the drive and start over

From what I hear, many codecs just aren't supported on the Linux version, like AAC audio, (this is why my brother uses Kdenlive instead of Resolve) though I believe there are workarounds.
It's just a matter of being willing to put in the time to finagle things or change settings all together.

You can always flash a USB with a Linux distro and boot off that to test a few things out before committing a drive. It'll run slower, but let you tour around and maybe game off an internal drive.
Also could use a virtual machine, just don't expect perfect performance on that.

Proton is also quite good, though can be more resource intensive, I noticed that with Sonic Frontiers. Playability really goes game-by-game. (Also don’t expect getting mod loaders to work will be easy.) You can check a game’s rating on protondb to see how your favorites fare.

I’ve dabbled in Linux (mint and lite), can’t switch because of drawing tablet drivers and certain programs, though. (Gimp is NOT a suitable replacement for art software.)
Generally, editors like Kdenlive and Resolve are behind on features/fixes in Linux, but still usable and have workarounds.
