The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

I'm doing my continued training for work and currently watching a video all about Tuberculosis and thinking it would be more interesting if @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social was teaching this. Though I also know a lot of this already because of him soooooo

I went out with a coworker to watch another coworkers band. Had a beer. And immediately came home less than an hour and a half later and put in my headphones to listen to my audiobook and not talk to anyone the rest of the night.

Some ducks look like they should have arms and someone just forgot to give them some

I work in memory care and they say the funniest things sometimes so let's start a list of silly things they say!

Chad and I are having a boxed brownie throwdown tonight for date night (and watching random funny videos): I am so excited to try them both!

Will post photos when they both come out so y'all can vote which looks better, and then I'll tell ya 😂

Also, we took edibles before we went to the zoo yesterday and it was the best thing I have ever done.

Chad looking at the Alligators at the zoo: I'll just put my phone on record and chuck it at him. See what happens.

Not much tops convincing your partner who doesn't really read to read a book series that you never shut up about.

There is a vibe that I can't explain about standing on a sunny street corner with an iced lavender latte eating a scone

Also why the fuck are all the Teletubbies so fucking tall?
April 11, 2025 at 2:48 AM
Me: *just trying to exist in this hellscape of life*
Literally nobody: *crickets*
My brain all because Chad stuck Sophie's whiskers on her head and called her a Teletubby: Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po

Me: *Puts a salmon recipe on the menu*
Also me every single time: What if we change this to salmon bowls instead?

I'm fully invested in Sunrise on the Reaping just like the rest of the world. I have about 130 pages left and I'm determined to finish before the week is over!

It is February 28 tomorrow.

This means a total and complete economic blackout.

This means buying nothing.

AT ALL

Not even your coffee!

I have had Hostile Government Takeover stick in my head for like four days, minus one day when it was Fortunate Son by CCR. They both are engrained in here this week, and I don't foresee either leaving anytime soon.

I'm reading three books at once and feel like I'll never finish any of them right now

I left work an hour and a half early so that I could come home and work on the community newsletter in the peace of my home and stretchy pants, rather than the chaos of my office.
