there are no children who deserve to die and no circumstances in which their death is an acceptable casualty, and the number of things in our society we have to say that about - war, poverty, guns, healthcare - is just so existentially crushing sometimes
I'll say it again, if you've reached the point of "kill the children and bomb the hospitals" it doesn't matter how you got there, you are the actual problem with the world
