Awol Erizku’s “Nefertiti-Miles Davis” is two very different things in motion and in snapshot, I feel. In motion, it is mesmerizing. But I quite like that in this still, the different kinds of light fragments are available for examination.

Steffani Jemison and Jamal Cyrus’s installation piece is a reading room with meticulous replications of Black periodicals. Best thing of course is you can sit down and leaf through these issues!
