Autumn is here. That white land orca is twice the size of his orange brother, but somehow the little orange guy is always on the bottom of the pile. 🤷‍♀️

I’m had to make a post this morning on my website after receiving word of the increases due to tariffs from my vendors.

I haven’t received any communication since Trump backed down, but I’m sure I’ll have to change the notice tomorrow.

I’m a business owner. I don’t have time for this.
A message on the Sweet Alice Floral website reads: As tariffs take effect in the US, please note that you will see gradual increases in price on various items on our website. Flowers from Ecuador and Colombia (all of our standard and garden roses, carnations and summer flowers) will be increasing 7–10% in cost; flowers from Holland (specialty cuts and orchids) will e increasing 10–12% in cost, and hard goods are expected to increase 10–20% in cost. I stocked up on hard goods prior to the tariffs, but certain vases and containers may not be available as I work with my current stock. I’ll be expanding our Minnesota Grown options to help offset tariffs for our loyal customers. Thank you for understanding.

I’m working right now on our fall planting orders for the farm. Our bulbs and tubers come from a family farm in Holland. Two family farms, an ocean apart, working together in a mutually beneficial way.

And today, everything just got more expensive for me and for my customers.
