I dislike Patel too don't get me wrong but I guess I don't know enough about it to pin it entirely on the investigation 🤷🏼‍♀️

This incident seems different, in that the shooter was not also suicidal and apparently not experiencing mental illness to the point of just allowing themselves to be captured. I can't recall a mass casualty incident where the perpetrator was apparently intent on blending back into society.
