It reminded me of the NYT discussion about higher ed this spring btw Stephens, McMillan Cottom and Gessen - his arguments were pure vibes and they spoke from experience and cited concrete facts and acknowledged nuance. Klein is usually smarter than Stephens but he’s way out of his depth here.

I don’t think this thread is offered as general advice. It’s pointing out a pattern that is absolutely present in this specific discourse - a Black woman with relevant experience gave her take, and instead of disagreeing a bunch of white men jumped in to dismiss her experience and motives.
