So @hl came through for my birthday and bought me this shirt!

Thankfully not *just* my armpits changed colour 😅

And it's a fun effect when you sprinkle or touch some cooler water onto it!

I have managed to get the first two running on my phone! Not tried James Pond yet.

I've also now figured out the cropping since these screenshots were taken :)

What is a bit of a pain - and I don't know yet if it's possible to change - is the mousing […]

Two down.

I also never used these much because they're not really my favourite conferences! JS Nation was more my thing than React Summit, but they came as a bundle, and I went along with my colleagues.

Nowadays I'm quite picky about the kind of conference […]

Boom, 1st of 4 done.

Here we gooooo

Yes I've decided to keep the handles on, then I can hang them up if I want :)

Oooh. Just had an idea for all these slightly-too-small to be useful conference tote bags - I can totes (🤭) sew them into cushions!

(Demo'd here by my having just stuffed a blanket into one as a temporary hammock pillow.)

If they're going to make an argument that the radius is matching buttons within, erm, then do that?

Enforced work computer update into MacOS 26 Tahoe.

I'm having feelings like the first time I saw XP - that it looks a little bit overly childish, I guess.

Were the Window radii always different per app, and it's now just more pronounced?

This part of "This Is For Everyone" by Tim Berners-Lee sparked a memory of Global Hypercolor T shirts.

They appeared a year or two later ... and just as suddenly stopped being popular as they mostly changed colour around your armpits, nice.

I would still […]

Doing a thing with @karlgroves next week.

You know me, I'm somewhat of a sceptic. Let's see where this "friendly debate" ends up!

(I didn't choose that title, by the way, brrr)

I'm posing in merch again...

This one is from @Wilto's new course at @piccalilli: https://piccalil.li/javascript-for-everyone

Like the web, JavaScript *is* for everyone.

..Even if we like to be able to turn it off sometimes - it is actually fun to play […]

Today my fixed stickers arrived from https://stickerapp.com!

The SVG version I first sent them resulted in my stickers missing a green stripe, so they happily took a PNG version instead and reprinted for free :)

Good company. They ship to tons of […]

To those who picked up my stickers yesterday, enjoy! Send a pic of where you put it!

The robot sticker was designed by my eldest child!
@andycarolan made both our designs more solid and stickery, my eldest got the choice between one that was much more like […]

Sticker update time! Got a few new ones in there.

Going to purposefully not at Alt text to see what on Earth the altbot makes of it, assuming it's still running...

This is the most egregious bit of AI slop I feel like I've personally come across.

It was the FIRST result on DuckDuckGo, to the search:

Some motorcycle jeans I ordered arrived today, and ooh. They're stretchy in all the right places, and have pockets for the knee and hip pads I will never need!

So they're comfy when riding a bicycle, which is nice. Crotch not reinforced though, so just as […]

If you can't tell which are the new and which are the old specs, I did a really good job picking the frames from an online store!

I wanted to test an extra +0.25 in the varifocal add, and that's sooo much cheaper at an online vendor than local opticians […]

To any other people blessed with a big bum and comparatively small waist (in the opinion of the clothing industry, anyway), I've found a way to help stop your trousers from falling down.

Yes, one can wear a belt, but there are never quite enough belt loops […]
