Michigan is blue-ish. It's a swing state with lots of regional and rural/urban red/blue divides.

The police action here has nothing to do with the political preferences of the city as a whole, which is definitely not red to begin with, as others have pointed out.

There needs to be consequences, but it does matter for anyone watching this to understand what depraved liars these people are. The more they're publicly called out, straight to their faces, the better, in my opinion.

There are hundreds of shipwrecks in the Great lakes! It was a pretty brutal environment for shipping before NOAA existed.
