Finished reading “Ways We Vanish” and “Ragnarök at the Father-Daughter Dance” by @toddedillard.bsky.social. Stunningly good poem after stunningly good poem. Magical elision between metaphor and reality. Deeply personal but even more deeply relatable. Highly recommend both books.

The Ides of March (15th March) marks the festival of Anna Perenna, Roman goddess of the cyclical year. In Latin, anna means “to live through a year” and perenna means “to last many years”. These words are the roots of annual and perennial, the terms we use for a plant’s lifespan.

Having completed the sale of my family’s last chunk of Suffolk last week I don’t have any skin in this game now, but if you want to encourage small family farming why not break up the agribusiness & IHT estates and sell the land at a discount to the farm managers who are actually doing the farming?

There's been no food to North Gaza in since early October. In 30 days a lot of people will be dead.
The Biden administration told Israeli government officials that if they did not improve humanitarian conditions in Gaza within 30 days, the U.S. would reevaluate its military support, which has flowed largely without pause for more than a year.
