I stepped into the world of data, technology, and trust just after the Snowden revelations in 2013. The big takeaway? Government surveillance was far more advanced than most of us realised—US and UK security agencies had found ways to bypass much of our online encryption.

So proud of my mum who went to her “Donor recognition ceremony” yesterday, she’s donated blood over 100 times and I hope I can get to that figure some day.

I attended the Biobank summit in Dec '23, and asked this.
Surely it's more urgent than ever to address the infrastructure + patient promise and experience updates needed to recover from this (even if Biobank's leadership try to claim, again, that it's not a breach).
