Staffers check the voicemails, and put a tick for you in the "must fix healthcare to end shutdown" column.

That's it that's the whole process. No oratory skills required

Readers in Arizona, Michigan, & Georgia!

Your senators have been getting a LOT of dedicated pressure to end the shutdown, without fixing healthcare.

If you have a minute, go ahead & give them a call!

Their job is to respond to constituents & they're mostly hearing from GOP voters rn.

The USDA is lying. They have $5-6 billion for SNAP.

Here's more details on SNAP money: www.cbpp.org/research/foo...

Ok so Facebook now lets you monetize your content (long story there)

and they also let you say "But don't show ads for the following categories on my page."

Does anyone know what category FB thinks crypto is in? Is it Banking, Finance, or Gambling 💀

For a little context on this info, farmers aren't poor either.

BTW if you're trying to figure out why Trump loves Milei so much, here it is in one little Fox News headline [from 2 years ago]

People think I'm being hyperbolic when I say "Yeah the GOP is just pro-slavery at this point."

If their actual farm labor policy wasn't enough, there's always this.
October 14, 2025 at 6:52 PM
Totally unrelated! Here's a chart of soybean exports over the same time period.
October 10, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Farm bankruptcies are back in the news, so it's time to pull this chart out again.

Hey look they kept rising during Trump's first term. Then they went way down under Biden.

Now they're up again? So weird. Thanks Farm Bureau for the graphic

hmm this Art. it speaks to me

(ps. Here's the data if you don't believe me.

The median small family farmer in the US is a millionaire with a 6-figure income. Yes, after you take out farm debts & expenses.)
October 4, 2025 at 4:27 AM
Ok farm facts are back!

China is so much of the global soybean market, you can't make up losing them by selling to other countries. There isn't enough soybean demand in the world to fill that dent.

And farmers... know that.

Attempting to farm Midwest-style on sand has led a lot of people to describe Southern soils as "bad."

This is false. Slanderous, even.

Sand is great!

Root crops love it! It's soft! Long skinny roots like carrots can push downward without hitting rocks or clay pans & turning into this
September 30, 2025 at 11:11 PM
Farm fact: the South is famous for clayey red soil, but a lot of it is actually... sand. Like beach sand. See the yellow on the map here.

Why? It IS beach sand. That's where the shoreline was during the Cretaceous.

This is a great time to remind everyone that US farmers are a lot wealthier than we think they are.

Most *small family farmers* are millionaires. And no, it's not "just because they own land." Their income is much than average- yes, AFTER you take out farm debts and expenses.
September 29, 2025 at 6:19 AM
Alas, nope.

96% of US farms are family farms.

Most of the so-called "corporate" farms are family farms. The families that own them just happen to be wealthy & have a lot of capital.

9 people subscribed to the YT channel because of the seacowboys video.

Hope they can make it through the next couple weeks of depressing farm labor content. Because if they do, the next "can you farm it" is
