The librarians were very supportive but were pressured by some people higher up in town government.

I’m scheduled to show in two other local libraries next year. I was clear with them that I would use the terms climate change and ocean warming in my text. They are fine with this language.

Not only that but when i suggested that i put up two posters — one of the first amendment to the US constitution and one of the fourteenth amendment, i was told that I couldn’t do that either.

"ocean warming" is deemed to create an "unwelcoming environment" for potential users of the room in which the art and accompanying text is displayed.
