I’m getting coverage. Simsbury’s Art Censorship is making waves. This week, the Brattleboro Commons published an op-ed about self-censorship, and a podcast about plastic pollution mentioned that the Simsbury Library censored my work. Visit my website’s home page for links to both outlets.

Simsbury Library censored me for mentioning "climate change" and "ocean warming." I moved my fish show to Old St. Andrew’s Church—free speech champions.

After ABC suspended Kimmel for his remarks on Charlie Kirk's murder, Sen. Ted Cruz warned government interference threatens free speech.

Original poem wanted for this artwork: Black Margate.

I created this artwork from raffia, netting, clothing labels, food packaging, and more, adhered to a board with nails and staples.

I'm placing artworks in little free libraries along with poems, inviting anyone who wants to write something.

2020-Jenifer Rajkumar–one of the first two South Asians in the NYAssembly.
I made this portrait in 2023. Now a friend will put it in a little free library.
Before I ship it, I'd like to add a poem. Please write a poem and share it with me via DM, PM, email, or text by Friday, October 3.

After Simsbury told me I couldn't use the terms "climate change" or "ocean warming" in my show statement, I moved the art to Old St. Andrew's Church in Bloomfield. A Simsbury resident wrote an opinion piece on the suppression of free speech. tinyurl.com/fnz6batj

New work: Plastic Candy
This piece is about 22" from tie to tie.
I want for large, clear plastic bags or tubes of soft plastic — used, not new. The goal of this project is to highlight just how much plastic we use and throw away. If you have any to share, DM me! Local pickup or mail-in works.

I pulled my show from the Simsbury Library after being told I couldn't use the term "ocean warming."

In solidarity, Chris Fisher & Sue Banks also withdrew their shows. Chris helped me secure a show at Old St. Andrew's Church in Bloomfield, CT — opening 9/18. Reception 9/28 at 11:15 a.m.

My show planned for Oct. at the Simsbury Library is being censored. Can't say "climate change" or "ocean warming." This compromises my message in pieces like "Bicolor Damselfish in a Green Garbage Sea" & "Snap Out of Your Plastic Habit Black Snapper." I refuse to compromise my art. Show CANCELED!

The FBI, at president's request, raided John Bolton’s MD home & D.C. office, investigating his alleged use of a private email. The prez is dissatisfied with Bolton’s recent criticisms of how the prez is handling of the Russia/Ukraine war.

I made this portrait of Bolton in 2019.

After the 2020 election, I celebrated, through portraiture, elected and appointed people who were the first in their cohort to attain a specific position. Another one of my subjects was mentioned in a NYT article: Omar Mahmood Fateh, 1st Somali-American and Muslim in the Minnesota Senate.

Per the New York Times, the FBI is currently investigating James Comey’s involvement in the inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election. It's unclear what wrongdoing is being alleged against him.

I made this portrait of James Comey — 45's FBI Director #1 — in 2019 after he was fired.
