Helen Godwin was elected as the mayor of the West of England. Godwin represents the Labour party and was previously a Bristol City councillor from 2016–21.

Dame Andrea Jenkyns was elected as the first mayor of Greater Lincolnshire with 42.0% of the vote. Jenkyns represents the Reform UK party and was previously a Conservative MP from 2015–24.

Scheduled elections for 24 of England’s 317 councils will be taking place on Thursday.

These are for 14 county councils, eight unitary authorities, one metropolitan district and The Isles of Scilly.
