Fast machine, clean motor.
All movies have loads of variables wrt response, but I'm obsessed with the various subsets for Deliver Me From Nowhere: how big a Bruce fan you are, your feelings on Nebraska, do you watch the Bear & more. Even people w/identical Venn diagrams could have different responses. Here for ALL the takes.

Outstanding piece about one of the most universally-acclaimed but under-discussed talents of his generation. The range! The heart! The piece is smart, funny, poignant, REAL. Laura gets the goods. Excited to read and hear his upcoming memoir "Vagabond."
Over lunch in Hollywood last month, Tim Curry talked about his terrific new memoir, “Vagabond,” not being ready to pack it in as an artist and, because the chef asked, when he last saw “Rocky Horror” in a movie theater. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/13/b... (gift link)

Just answered a trivia question successfully by quietly singing a part of "We Didn't Start the Fire" to myself.

The next winner who can afford it should just say they are going to donate $200,000 no matter what happens, and that can be that.

Cannot be the only one ugly crying at Jeff Hiller's win?

For awhile I've been saying we need to celebrate our greats while they're still here to appreciate it. I'm so sad he's gone but overjoyed Ozzy was able to attend & perform at the tribute & feel the love. It was rocking & poignant & he so deserved it. Hopefully he's giving Randy a big hug. Damn.

This Ozzy/Sabbath livestream is a grand mash-up of pummeling and poignant. Lzzy, Nuno, Jake E. Lee (sounding GREAT), Ellefsen, Bordin, Wakeman just shredding "Ultimate Sin." I so love that they are doing this tribute for him while he is still here to enjoy it and take part.

It's probably just me but, Jack Black doing a monologue song to the tune of Aerosmith's "Back in the Saddle" but then coming back onstage to a logo in the AC/DC font is some hard rock cognitive dissonance. (It's just me.)

The Level 42 coding of that Andy-Bowen short about anxiety on SNL50 was delightful in such a weirdly specific way for Gen X.

For Grammy nerds, (if such people exist anymore besides me), the Premiere ceremony is happening right now at live.grammy.com This is where the lion's share of awards are actually given out. A deeply righteous gospel rendition of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" just kicked things off.
The 2025 GRAMMYs take place Sunday, Feb. 2. Watch full GRAMMY performances, acceptance speeches, and red carpet videos from the 2025 GRAMMYs on Live.GRAMMY.com | GRAMMY.com

Unannounced(?) Nirvana mini-set happening @ FireAid right now w/Pat Smear, Krist Novoselic, & Dave Grohl. St. Vincent fronted on "Breed," Kim Gordon just ripped through "School" and Joan Jett just started "Territorial Pissings." (These 3 also helped out at the Nirvana RockHall induction.) Bracing!
