The ONS published new stats on online vacancies last week www.ons.gov.uk/economy/econ.... These are newly advertised jobs on UK websites. Since 2023, new job postings have been well below pre-pandemic. I've added on right the percentage change since the same month (November) pre-pandemic.

Delighted to see a govt advisor saying that no NHS Trust should buy the next gen of the EPIC patient record system until it's fully interoperable with the likes of the NHS App.

Such robust market shaping is essential to join up services for patients.

I’m surprised not to have seen more main headlines re the Australia social media ban for U-16s. Coming into play end of ‘25 it will be fascinating to monitor. I have mixed feelings as a mum. Good to safeguard but what else will rise to replace these channels?

Just closed Companies House NED roles! What’s struck me is 1.Hoping more public sector boards consider digital NEDs (like CH with Digital & Data/AI) and 2. Hope that we see more C-level digital leaders take on impactful, first-time NED roles vs trad portfolio NEDs. What do you think? #NED #Digital

Very useful run down of the new Data Bill: amberhawk.typepad.com/amberhawk/20...

Lots that remains problematic (recognised legitimate interests is my particular bugbear) and (I think) almost no chance of getting any changes now.
What are the main features of the Data (Use and Access) Bill?
The blog concerns the content of the new Data (Use and Access) Bill (DUAB) as published last week; it bears a strong relationship with the previous Data Protection and Digital Information (DPDI) Bills...

Back to work reflections:
1. Don’t forget the basics: - quality sleep, movement & hydration. Thought I was winning on Mon, Tues it went out of the window & I felt worse for it.
2. Small wins count
3. Block out time in diary to get things done vs autopilot react
4. Purpose - watch this space!
