59. I loved this. A beautiful balance of friendship, trauma, betrayal, support, motherhood, marriage, depression, drama, confidence, control… generally, life #booksky

58. Yay! Everything I was looking for: a character you love to hate, confusion with little snippets to clear up only so much, great pace, audacity and engagement. Yep. “Loved” this. #booksky

57. Struggled through this but somehow hard to have an opinion on whether it is a good read or not. I felt uncomfortable with the characters, the story, the flashbacks, the structure… definitely not for me, but “meh” not enough, “did not like” too much? #booksky

Instead of, y’know, talking to literally ANYONE, they asked ChatGPT and, well, the answer they got was simultaneously not wrong and also so wrong 😳😭😡

56. I really wanted to like this. Read the first half and listened to the second, which was more enjoyable. I felt that the VERY short “chapters”(?) only served to break the flow and the lyricism couldn’t take hold. I just couldn’t get into it. “Meh” #booksky

55. Absolutely “loved” this, a swirl of emotive storytelling, totally absorbing. Maggie O’Farrell 😍 #booksky

54. Somewhere between framing a novel and outlining a string of research or creative ideas, with a series of too many backstories instead of a substantial tale to tell. The characters weren’t exactly endearing either but somehow just about “liked” #booksky

53. More twisty turny fun! I’d no idea what was going on until the precise moment I was meant to. Loads on the go, everything skillfully intertwined, characters that engaged but didn’t endear themselves; I “loved” this start to finish #booksky

51. Ugh. Just no. I’ve no idea how this ended up on my list but I wish it hadn’t. The writing’s ok, the story has potential, but it’s just nasty. Discrimination in every direction and not strong enough to hold the crazy together. “Disliked” #booksky

50(whoop!). Good twisty turny suspense, hard to put down really. “Liked” #booksky

49. I am a little broken after this. True crime is a tough one. But well researched, organized and recounted. “Liked” #booksky

48. I loved the insanity of this, beautifully written (and translated #WIT), hard not to feel the pull and need to release from it. “Loved” #booksky

46. Full of contrast: depression and fun, serious and light, full of annoying stereotypes and relatable characters. It’s a little heavy on people being unfairly judged and the main character miraculously figuring out the real person within. But it’s very entertaining. “Loved” #booksky

45. Ah yes. This hit the spot! Absolutely didn’t see it coming but had plenty of theories, thoroughly enjoyed. “Loved” #booksky

44. Not easy reading - dense, complex, challenging. Also, important. To me, like the subject matter hasn’t stopped mattering - the Mirror World is even stronger. I want to skip ahead, to the end of a corresponding documentation of this current, awful chapter in history. “Liked” (but hated) #booksky

This is a wonderfully entertaining pod, Greek mythology as relevant in today’s world. Andreou has an amazing way of telling a story that sucks you in, is fun & informative, has a gorgeous speaking voice & a banger theme tune. So much to recommend.
