To be fair, they hype was that AI would make work easier. Did not specify how legal that work would be.

This is a BLEAK end to an article about imminent rapid job loss.

What trickles down is not the money itself, but the corrupted ideals it creates.

I, too, was once young and vibrant. Eager to make things round, much like yourself. Heed my words: there is still time to turn back.

Does anyone know of a lit mag that may want a poem which:

• Is (well) over 40 lines
• Rhymes
• Is about how tech bros and complicit politicians are screwing us socially and economically

Wrote it a while back but seems particularly relevant at the moment; looking for a good home beyond my hardrive.

The TDLR of the 21st century Hero's Journey is "it cost billions, but in the end it was worth it because the less annoying bad guy won."

In the absence of a proper winter (i.e., snow) my mind keeps wandering to what comes next. I rewrote "Sex and Candy" by Marcy Playground to be about a lonely weekend at the lake interrupted by friends and the start of something new.

If opting out of not having your paycheck stolen is good enough for artists, it's good enough for politicians. They can go door to door delivering "don't steal my money" waivers to every constituent. And since they love the tech industry so much, they can do it monthly as an anti-subscription model.

Shoutout to @kevinjkircher.com for reskeeting in an order that first let me know Netanyahu has been charged by the ICC with war crimes and then alerted me to the big news of the morning about heat pumps.

"Up and at 'em, the Ant Particle!" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Cute little quiz though, you should give it a go.

When the pace of technological output is so fast that not one has time to think about whether we're making good investments or stuffing our cart with impulse buys at the checkout line (gift link).

When your friend starts to tell you a story about how the largest networks in the world aren't secure, only to hit you with "never mind" halfway through.

When @waiterich.bsky.social drew my attention to what is clearly some unfinished 18th century business, I knew the only way to resolve it was by channeling Cardi B.

I present to you, to the tune of "I Like It," some serious mill-based disses.

Okay friends, here it is: to the tune of Cardi B's "I Like It"

Update: I'm not sure if this is actually suggestive or if I have just been reading about grain mills for too long.

Another banger from 404 Media (or, as I have come to think of it, "1984 Media"). This kind of reporting is vital to expose the corporate strategies behind what can feel like a frivolous, transient trend of generated content.
