We went to the Tamara de Lempicka exhibit at the MFAH yesterday, and this image in particular felt like a couple of 1925 it girls going to choose the new hot Art Deco girl before Charli sang her jazz song.
Irene and her Sister, a 1925 painting by Tamara de Lempicka. Two pale women stand together: one wears a sculptural grey dress and looks upward, the other has very long golden hair cascading in waves over a greenish-black coat. It's very stylized in an Art Deco manner.

Operation "Cheap Shelf for Sheet Music" has been deemed a success. (Unfortunately, this operation will lead to "Find a Shorter Lamp for the New Cheap Shelf," LOL.)

My favorite kicking-around sweater developed some holes & the fine textured knit was too difficult to darn, so I slapped a floral appliqué over the damage. Messy? A bit. Elegant? Not even. Wearable? Absolutely!
