I don’t know if it’s feasible long term. I’d have to see how it goes first. I’ll probably have to go back up to full time.

I’m in a similar boat. I’m going back 3 days a week to start with doing different duties because my role can’t really be done in 3 days.

Will you work part time when you go back?

Oh that’s good. I got Teddy on three wait lists when I was pregnant and we ended up getting offers for all of them. He’s had orientation already and starts next month! I don’t think they do trial days though.

I was the same, I toured some when I was pregnant but I had no idea what I wanted and what I was looking for until Teddy came along. Once you had more of a routine and more predictable patterns of feeding, sleeping etc you will know what you want and what to ask them.

Yeah Teddy was born 9 days before his due date and his leaps always seem to go on his birth date rather than due date.

Yeah I reckon the dates are off, they go by due date but I found that Teddy got them earlier or showed signs of them sooner.

Probably a developmental leap. They cause all sorts of grumpiness!

Sleep is the best!

And it’s similar after the baby comes. You just ride each change.

It is. You grew a whole human! It’s s big deal.

It’s a thing, you grieve your pregnancy and the life before. No one really talks about it enough though.

It’s so cold! And the rain 😭 hopefully summer weather improves before I have to go back to work.

Hopefully she will relax a bit and it’s not too stressful for you either.

My room had a curtain in the doorway so they usually waited for me to say it was ok before coming in. It was good like that, but only on the second last day I found out there was a DND sign I could use!

Do what’s right for you, how did it go?
We just let Baxter have a quick sniff of Teddy’s foot while he was in the capsule. He figured it out quickly.

It’s honestly so weird, they give you all these checks while in hospital and never leave you alone then you’re discharged and it’s just “ok just walk out when you like”
November 2, 2025 at 9:27 AM
It suits you. Are you going to keep it?
November 2, 2025 at 9:24 AM
The best! Enjoy the quiet moments of these few days. Get any rest you can manage. Well done, mama! 💕
