Got invited to my work end of year lunch. It’s next Friday, the same day as Kim’s work thing so I don’t even think I can go. don’t have many babysitter options.

It’s been a productive and rewarding day. Almost time to relax with some Netflix on the iPad before reading and bed!

Today has been very busy but good. First time doing the bedtime routine on my own since Teddy has been in his room, I did my own version of tickle/rough play with him which has become our thing before bed. He laughed his head off! 🥹

It’s been a busy few weeks. After many sleepless nights and frequent wake ups we decided to start sleep training Teddy. It’s been going well, the other night he fell asleep with no crying/fussing at all. Just looked at me, rolled over and went to sleep. Still having wake ups but it’s getting better.

It’s been a busy few weeks. After many sleepless nights and frequent wake ups we decided to start sleep training Teddy. It’s been going well, the other night he fell asleep with no crying/fussing at all. Just looked at me, rolled over and went to sleep. Still having wake ups but it’s getting better.
First day just Teddy and I without our dear Baxter. It was strange coming home and not having the sound of his little paws and anxious whining greet me.

Once again I am disappointed by friends who don’t come to see me or hang out outside of home. I have been as flexible as I can be given I have different priorities now. Even friends from interstate have visited more often than those local! 🤦🏻♀️😢

Teddy didn’t sleep through again last night, though I wasn’t expecting him to. Instead it was a 4:30am wake up and then 45 mins to settle back to sleep!

To update my super. I have to fill in a paper form, sign it, and post it. It seems so old fashioned. The hilarious thing is I had to log in online to download the form. 🤦🏻♀️

I’ve made some new mum friends but it’s early days and we only see each other once a week at parents group. It will be interesting to see how many keep in contact now that the council sessions have ended. Hopefully we continue to meet weekly.

I’ve got plenty of local people who are always keen to see me, if I go to the pub. But that’s not always an option now.

Today I realised that I haven’t had any visitors from any of my female friends. Only one came early on.
I’ve reached out to them to catch up and offered to go to them, but no one ever comes.
It’s made me realise I don’t have many female friends. 😔

While not originally what I had planned, it was a lovely Mother’s Day today. I got chocolate, champagne, and new pjs, a nap and chocolate cookies. Pretty good day.

Reality of parenting a newborn. Today I haven’t had enough water, I didn’t end up putting on the top I got out to wear today instead staying in a crop bra and zip up hoodie, and the same trackies I’ve worn for the last few days that probably have breastmilk on them.
