Yes, I did name my dog Bunny partly just so I could say, "I love you, Bunny" (Mona Awad). She's a literary gal. Plus, naming animals what they're not is my favorite.

My novel does all of the things on this list* so... • "Characters confronting buried truths" • "Stories that bend time, reality, and identity" • "Novels that reclaim, remix, or reimagine forgotten narratives" • Feminist horror • High-concept with heart *Except for the romance-specific bullet (but the romance between the main characters is pretty sweet AND "genre-blending").

Our world is frequently devastating and unconscionable, and also, have you even SEEN a tree? Trees are glorious, hope-giving, kinder creatures. I have not yet managed to become one but at least in my time I can honor them.
