The finished product! The crumb also probably impacted by pepperoni pieces - so it may not be the prettiest loaf, but it’s good! (And I am so glad I asked for a new bread knife for Christmas)

I made a list of 50 things I want to do before I turn 50 and making this almond croissant sourdough was on my list (it’s a bit more involved of a recipe so I have been putting it off). Turns out… it was def worth the effort. Yum. Is it the prettiest loaf I’ve ever made?

Oh look, she’s baking again. I have a sinus infection that’s making my face feel super weird and I’ve been having a mellow day. So I made two pans of cinnamon rolls with sourdough discard which is ridiculous because I am but one person. Sooo, guess I’m delivering cinnamon rolls…somewhere…tomorrow.

Yeah, the world is on fire and I’m baking bread about it. This week has been a hard one (not just with the world at large but personally, as I faced a grief anniversary), so I made sourdough filled with stuffing spices and my house smelled like Thanksgiving when I baked this morning.

While making a pasta dish last night, I was inspired to brown additional bacon and garlic and add it to a loaf of sourdough. Sometimes my brain delights me. (That’s not usually the case.) This bacon garlic sourdough is so dang good.

I wish I had taken a photo of the sourdough discard cinnamon rolls AFTER they’d baked and before I frosted them (they’re just not cute with that cream cheese frosting on top). I delivered one pan to my sister’s fam early this morning because who doesn’t love Sunday treats?

Sourdough Croissant Bread? Heck yeah, I’ll give that a whirl. This baby has so much butter in it but it tastes far more like a croissant than my actual last attempt at baking croissants.

My mom loves bagels so for Mother’s Day, I experimented by making a sourdough discard bagel recipe and they were actually pretty good. Not as good as my fave local shop but def better than a grocery store bagel.

Sourdough discard peanut butter cookies. Pretty delicious, easy to make. The recipe made a big fuss about “banging the pan”, which basically means picking up a corner and dropping it down… I did that with one sheet and frankly I think it makes the cookies too flat.

A totally normal thing to do is to bake a loaf of bread in the morning while you’re fasting for routine lab work. A unique and special torture. Parmesan pepper, which I think is my favorite that I’ve made so far.

Today was insanity. I really need to throw the starter in the fridge because we’ve got some warm days this week and I won’t be baking. Huge stack of waffles with sourdough discard (they’re in the freezer now), and two new loaves of bread - one a jalapeño cheddar.

My freezer is full, soooo…

Today we have… a loaf of Parmesan sourdough. I need to slow my roll a little bit, because I’m going to end up freezing a lot of bread, but I’m having fun learning a new thing. This is the third loaf I’ve ever baked and it freaking delights me.

Can I just post sourdough pictures? Is that allowed? Second time making sourdough. I forgot a step toward the end because my dumb ass is like, “I’ve made one, I don’t need to look at the recipe!” I remembered the skipped step a half hour later while I was on a walk.
