If the majority of UX leadership here in the Arab World (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, etc.) is European and Western, how an I supposed to land a job as a hijabi UX writer?

I’m not sure why, but the past couple of times I was in Dubai, some assumed I was European. And when I speak in Egyptian Arabic, they get all surprised.
One dude asked me if I’ve lived overseas—because apparently where you’ve lived has to do with your physical features.

I’ve lately been addressed as “tante” and “hajja.”
I guess old age has caught up with me, but my mother says it’s because I don’t wear makeup and wear clothes like old people do.
(It’s old age, though.)

1. Don’t use “invalid” or any ableist words to keep the microcopy accessible.
2. Don’t end fragments (incomplete sentences) with a full stop.
3. Explain where the problem is so the user wouldn’t keep guessing until they eventually get the file name right (if ever).
