Similar happened to me at a similar age and then Father Christmas created some magic that could only have been him (he left me a gift at my house while we were away 😉). Also, his handwriting was nothing like my Mum's 😂

Yep! My kids are 24, 17 and 15 and we still hang stockings and write to Santa and I have never told them differently!

I learnt "look and say' which is basically recognising whole words. It means that to this day I struggle with unfamiliar words as I can't sound them out.

My own child also doesn't listen to me. It is INFURIATING!!
