If you don’t move you are a visitor to the country and if you are a visitor to the country you fall under Schengen rules for visitors. Fairly simple.

Totally agree. I also want to add, buy a good quality rice, it's worth it. I lived a couple of years in the rice triangle in northern Italy, absolute comfort food on a typical foggy winter day.

Confiscating jewellery from survivors of a war zone makes you look like a fucking Nazi. And the obscene thing is, that is the intention. It's there to look appropriately harsh. Indecent. Filthy. A moral stain. And no-one of good character would have ever proposed such a thing in the first place.

Good point. Don't know if I agree, but certainly a possibility.

Incredibly good condition as well. Did it come out of the ground like that?

When little Tommy ten names is supporting your policy, you need to take a long, hard look in the mirror. I voted for this Govt. Shame on me.

Pandering to people, many of whom would deport her own family in a heartbeat and for whom no route to integration/residency/citizenship will ever be harsh enough. I am not voting for far-right pandering.

The attacks against him show that his message is worrying both the right and left. I find him refreshing.
November 16, 2025 at 9:17 AM
Absolutely. Notice how he is really worrying some. It doesn't really matter how many seats the Green's get (look at Farage with his 4/5), he has the possibility to drive the narrative in the same way Farage has. 🤔
November 16, 2025 at 9:04 AM
It became a much bigger issue because Farage went to Dover every day until the media followed him. Unless and until we accept that the far-right have driven this narrative and the right-wing media have shoved it down the electorate's throat, we will get nowhere.

She effectively wants the British taxpayer to be sued. I think there's a word for her.

Until they drop their ridiculous red lines it's all talk to try and get back those of us who said we won't be lending them our votes again. Fool me once...

Week 3 and @sturdyalex.bsky.social have finally tried a Gibson! The pickled onions brought out the florals in the gin (have no idea how). Highly recommended. Mr F tried a dirty Martini. Many thanks to Natasha once again, who mixes a fantastic cocktail.
