Before middle and after of my living room if you even care
My living room shortly after possession - house was built in the 1870s, we remediated mold all around the three bay windows and ended up tearing out plaster along all the exterior walls. Floors are the original hardwood, in this photo they are in bad shape. My living room in the process of drywall hanging. There are three bay windows and one window on the left, floors are original hardwood in bad shape, ceiling was old asbestos tiles that I tiled over. My living room, mostly finished. Floors are refinished original hardwood, walls are what I call "creamy mango" and ceilings are ornamental tiles in a soft peachy gold. Curtains are creamy lace, sofa is u-shaped and wine red corduroy, and there's a tealish floral velour armchair. Ceiling light is tiffany-style, rug is dark Persian-style, tables are all thrifted antiques.

Finally finished my dang living room (a couple last touches to go). This was a gut job, first time I've ever finished a room floor to ceiling! Very fun, very tired.
My living room in my older home - I refinished the hardwood floors, pulled down the old plaster walls and put up drywall, did the trim and painted it all "creamy mango" and I love it. There's also an original fireplace mantle and french doors. And a little patch of the original (first layer!) wallpaper, which I'm not sure what to do about yet.

The original hardwood floors in my living room. The pattern is cool but the "rug area" was never finished so the wood grain, even after hours of sanding, is all over the place. Also this half of the house was moved and joined to the other half about 100 years ago, so it's extremely uneven. I love it though so whateva!

Accidentally typed "amazong" to a coworker and was immediately became her
Jenny Slate playing "Liz" from a fake reality show called "PubLIZity" which was a recurring sketch on The Kroll Show. There were two characters named "Liz" and the other one was played by Nick Kroll, and they both ran PubLIZity. They both had extreme LA affectations and often pushed their verbal affectations into incomprehensibility. My teens and I love them and quote them often.

Over the past few days I stripped wallpaper, painted and put up new ceiling tiles and now I have the perfect room for smoking cigars in

Can I offer you a tower of weightless hydrangeas in these trying times?
Large white and lime green ball hydrangeas from my gardens arranged as a weightless tower extending to the ceiling. The room is my unfinished living room, lathe on the walls is exposed and the arrangement is backlit by three windows.

An arrangement of flowers by me, all flowers from my gardens. The flowers are in a small terracotta Garfield vase, about 20 stems total with light yellow lilies and roses, light orange coreopsis, peachy roses, small daisy-like sprays of feverfew, and a couple garlic scapes in the back.

I did it again
All the flowers are from my new gardens that a master gardener built and I get to restore. Frickin dream life
An arrangement of various yellows (roses, lilies, coreposis, centaurea), light pinks (roses), sky blues (hydrangeas), light violet (speedwell, campanula), a couple raspberries and sprays of tiny-daisy-like feverfew. And a couple hermit crab shells I found on the beach last week.
