SOUTH PARK having a scene where ICE raids Heaven is so good I actually cackled like a maniac. The show isn't perfect (I was 12 when it closer to my speed) and they've been transphobic as hell in the past (🤮) but these last two episodes are the pistol whipping this administration deserves.

When I was 12 I had a hardcore obsession w/ the film AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS because I adored John Cusack so much. I put that VHS to work! When my older cousin found out she laughed at me for a solid 2 minutes and couldn't breathe. I was undeterred. I hadn't seen SAY ANYTHING yet.

I've gotten so used to things being so hard that I don't even know how to react to good news sometimes. I've never really known how to take a compliment or felt particularly good or proud of myself. I was taught too much shame growing up. But...seeing some hope today. Maybe I'm gonna make it.

My therapist do this whenever we talk about "normal" stuff but we inevitably also end up diving into what's going on because it's become unavoidable. 🫠
Back during the pandemic we had this thing we never really talked about in which when someone asked how we were doing, we all just prefaced our answer with some variant of "Well, aside from...all this..."
I've noticed over the last few weeks that we're all doing that again.
