There were guys running back to their cars with their date's purses. I stomped all the way back with my husband, swearing I wasn't going to go back, that we were going to leave. I sat in the car a/c for a few minutes and decided to be reasonable and go back in. But I was PISSED.

I have a neighbor who is a tree expert -- it's literally his career -- and he says the mulch situation is totally fine and says the crew did a great job. I am sick to death of bluesky scolds who come in and offer un-asked for advice. If I want it, I'll ask for it.

Yeah I just contacted our neighborhood tree expert with the picture and he said it's fine. We can pull mulch away from the collar by about six inches because that's where it's most vulnerable, but otherwise it's all good.

People are questioning the mulch situation, but we bought this from a nursery, they installed it and guarantee it for a year. So I'm gonna trust they knew what they were doing.
