I don't think it's cowardice. I think that they are OK with what the GOP is doing. The sooner folks reconcile with this, the better.

Every morning I get my kid up for school, I am grateful that he is not being woken up by someone yelling at him and is not stressed out beyond belief before arriving to school. That is a specialized hell I wish on no one and am proud to be a cycle-breaker.
