Probably one of the greater word inventions of my time was the word 'facepalm' of 1996. Before then, we were annoyed, yet tragically undefined. I'm facepalming now more than ever in the nearly 30 years since it entered the lexicon, but I'm thankful there's a word to describe my actions.
