A judge has awarded a historic Black church in Washington control over the Proud Boys trademark after the far-right group defaulted on a $2.8 million judgment.
The #IDEA act makes it possible for children with disabilities to go to public school with services. Cutting funding for these services including #signlanguage interpreters for #deaf children who are often already language deprived, is horrific. I guess that’s the plan.
Everything is extremely chaotic but the best info we have so far suggests that Trump’s “stop funding” EO would cover:
Medicaid
ESSA funds
IDEA
Snap
School meals
WIC
Head start grants
Child care block grants
Pell grants
Student loans
Higher Ed grants
Housing vouchers
CTE
Devastating beyond words.

Getting some reports that ASL interpreters are being fired across federal agencies. Not sure to the extent yet. Obviously in violation of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. But with the DOJ Civil Rights Division frozen and general law-breaking plentiful, unsure of recourse rn.
