Yess, a mix of trying to stay positive and appreciating what I can do, and going into the sad hole feeling scared I won't ever get back to normal. I think it could have been shorter had I got help right away and not pushed through the half I had planned before I got injured :/ more lessons lol

I really liked the ceramic finishers medal from the "Bluesky half and full trail marathon" here in Colorado. I also got a nice long sleve athletic shirt, and the design is awesome!

Brag: I'm now able to run 6 miles without knee pain! I'm making progress with recovery!

Yeah, she supports ABA too and thinks you can become "less autistic" :( but I can understand being interested in her animal research and stuff

Thankyou 🥹
Everything used to feel easy. Now, I take joy in what I can still do

Yeah, the mud snow and cold is a slog :/ I'm injured, so I'm working as hard as I can this winter on recovery so I can really enjoy the next season and hopefully be healthy again

Learned a lot from being injured, not just how to not get injured and how to stay healthy. But I also learned to get joy in small wins and never take for granted being able to train hard

"Mountain Ridge Trail Race" by Aravaipa Running
I'm not sure what distance I want to do yet, ideally the half, but idk if I will be injury free and strong enough for that. Maybe the 10k or the 5k

I want to run on the assault tredmill at the rec center. It's kind of intimidating looking though 😅

I'm Sara from Colorado! My first big goal for 2025 is to be able to run on trails again, I'm doing a lot of PT for my knees but I can't run downhill yet
