ANYWAY, most of the time, when a child side character with potential is brought into a story, they usually either get forgotten about or suddenly awaken to their full power without aging or showing some sort of gradual growth over episodes/chapters.

Why the sudden thoughts of a small rabbit child? Because child characters growing into amazing power is something I don't see used well very often. Gohan from Dragon Ball is kinda the only example I can think of.
