Well, we can't know for certain who priortized 3 forwards over a midfielder and hence won't absolve anyone. Although as much a good talker Amorim is, and the backing he has got publicly - i would be surprised if the board just didn't listen to him at all.

I am sure it's a direct influence of playing 3 atb, it improves the defense and takes away attacking impetus. I don't see anything else that has changed.
