Good clients make a world of difference for rate increases, don't they? When I ran my magazine, I raised rates 5% annually, even in "tough" years after 2008. Yep, my bank lobby is a happening place and I hang out until it's uncomfortable in the hopes I'll see people. The bank tellers are probably thinking, "JUST GO ALREADY." LOL #FreelanceFriends

Nice thing about writing one for them on LinkedIn, even if they don't write one for you, is that the LI algorithm still indexes it for your skills, keywords and recency. It appears on your LI profile under "Given" and adds substance. I write more testimonials than I receive. #FreelanceFriends

I have a Dropbox account for that. Yes, sometimes clients come back and we pick up old projects to update them. Also it's helpful for creating case studies -- reminds me what we worked on. #FreelanceFriends
